On a glorious fall morning, 17 walkers started from Zion Lutheran Church after a send-off by LuMinHoS Chaplain Rev. Richard Engel. Some led with a very brisk stride while others had a more leisurely approach but all made it back to Zion in about an hour’s time. Everyone wore a mask to protect their fellow walkers!

We thank Doreen Baker and Del Mengering, members of the Events Committee for taking their post at the registration table and supplying “after the walk” refreshments. We acknowledge Alice Olson and Zion for accommodating us with space and hospitality.

The walk-a-thon started out with being “an extra” fundraising event for LuMinHoS and has constantly netted an amazing amount of donations. This year, to-date, $5,785 was raised in comparison to $4,155 in 2019. We give thanks and recognition to all those who supported this effort with donations, willing hand and feet and prayers for the ministry.
